The West Virginia Golf Association was founded in 1913 to preserve and promote the best interests of the game. Our membership includes more than 8,000 golfers statewide and over 70 golf facilities. By conducting state championships and qualifiers, rating golf courses, administering the USGA handicap system, producing publications, and conducting seminars the WVGA strives to make the game more enjoyable and accessible for everyone. The WVGA is the most visible governing body for golf in West Virginia and is also the official representative of the United States Golf Association in the state.

Yearly, the WVGA will conduct more than 150 days of golf for junior golfers, seniors, women and men. Programs include the Callaway Junior Tour, Callaway Junior Tour Rookie League, First Tee – West Virginia, the WVGA Amateur Series and the WVGA Senior Series. We also implement a curriculum in our elementary schools called the First Tee School Program where we hope to impact every student in WV.

The West Virginia Golf Association continues the momentum that it has built to grow the game of golf in West Virginia and to preserve its history.
